With quarantine pretty much over, most of us are ready to get back into shopping for clothes that aren’t just for lounging at home.  You need pieces that will make us look and feel amazing again and have you ready to conquer your busy days.

I personally have been shopping all quarantine long (adding to my capsule wardrobe, of course) and am more than excited to start creating outfits for this Summer that are functional, trendy, and that will live in my closet for years to come!

I’m rounding up some of this Summer’s hottest cutest trends that are not only great for styling this year but are so versatile that you will be styling and loving them for a long time!

1.  Woven crossbody handbags

This season’s handbags are all about cute dupes for the high-end luxury brand name bags.  There are so many great options to choose from that don’t look cheap at all and with price tags that are extremely affordable.

I’ve never been one to want to spend the money on expensive luxury handbags.  I always think of how many items of clothing or pairs of shoes, or pieces of jewelry that I could purchase to create endless outfits with the money it would take to purchase just one luxury handbag.

Of course, I would love to own one someday, but until then I think I will stick to my budget and keep working on building my capsule wardrobe.

2.  Straw hats

 

A straw hat is the perfect Summer accessory to any outfit.  Do not be afraid to try this trend.   Many gals think they can’t pull it off or think a hat just isn’t for me all the while you have been admiring the look on other girls.

Well, I’m here to tell you, YES YOU CAN!  Anyone can wear them!  Remember that you are the one that makes the outfit!  So if you have been wanting one, then buy one and wear it with confidence.  People will not only admire your outfit but also the way YOU wear it!

The best thing about these hats is that they honestly can be worn year-round making it the perfect accessory for a no hair wash day any day of the year.

Pair it with denim shorts, a maxi dress, or with your swimsuit in the Summer.  In the cooler months try it with an oversized sweater, jeans, and boots.  The straw hat trend has been around for years and will be around for many more to come so the investment here is definitely worth it!

3.  Hair clips

This is a comeback that I am not at all mad about!  Really what holds your hair better than a claw clip?  Hair ties can be good if you purchase the right ones but with claw clips, you know your hair will stay where you put it!  And it still looks just as cute as it did when Rachel Green was sporting them on Friends!

I’ve personally purchased these big hair claw clips (4 Pack) from Amazon. These have been all over Instagram this Summer and I’m here to tell you that they are very sturdy and a great value for the quality they provide.  I have a lot of hair and these hold all my hair with no problem!

4.  Espadrille mules

 

Here’s another trend that has been around for quite some time and seems to be a really hot trend this season.  These espadrilles offer a classic look and therefore they can easily become a Summertime staple in your capsule wardrobe.

The platform look of this sandal is trendy but is a great alternative to add height all while remaining a comfortable and casual option that will pair so well with all your Summer outfits.

This is one of my favorite trends this season!  I think it’s the braided look for me.  Something about a braided woven sandal is very appealing to me.  More than that the braided woven style is considered to be a very classic look.

I think the trendier part of this style is that they come with a thicker, chunkier braided look and also in many color options.  Even so, they most definitely would go a long way in a capsule wardrobe shoe collection.

I’ve purchased about three different options in this shoe style this Summer… so far, lol.  Yea, I really love it that much!  The comfort level is perfect and will still give that cute put-together look.

I’m loving Shein sandals right now!  The prices are ridiculous and the quality of the shoes is pretty good.  I had been hesitant to purchase from here but am so glad that I did.  These braided slide sandals are what you need for the fashion trend that is perfect for any budget.

And well, let’s not forget good ‘ole Amazon!  Always coming through for the win!  These braided sandals offer a thicker braided band for a more basic look and again all for a great price.

6.  White shoes

 

White shoes!! It’s the new neutral and it’s here to stay.  I love that it can be neutral but at the same time be the bright pop of color to any monochrome outfit.

I love the simplicity of these padded toe-thong-heeled sandals. I’ve seen them styled with a long, slim pastel blue strappy dress and an oversized cream blazer for a baby shower.  It would even work great for a Summer wedding. The entire look was on point!

Another great option for a white shoe is the classic loafer mule.  This style has been trending for a few years.  These white mules would pair so well with denim jeans, a t-shirt, and jeans.  Throw on a blazer, some gold jewelry, hoop earrings to accessorize, and you will instantly have an ideal outfit for a casual business look.

The most comfortable pair of pants that you could possibly wear that will be in style every Summer is of course the linen pants! I have personally invested in a few pants this style this Summer.

They are the ultimate must-have for the beach, for casual weekend wear, or for a casual workday outfit just the same.  These pants are an everyday piece that you can transition into such a variety of different looks.

10.  Maxi dress

 

Maxi dressed are the best, don’t you think!  It is literally your one and done, let’s go kinda outfit!

It’s been around for a while and tends to become more trendy every now then.  The maxi is the dress you can never go wrong with.  It’s your last-minute outfit when you absolutely cannot find anything to wear.  I can honestly say that I am so grateful for them!

With the versatility that they offer, there are so many ways to dress this one up.  Style it with a blazer and heels for an office look or wear it casual with white tennis shoes or slide sandals for the weekend.

This is a hot item this summer!  And deservingly so!  The classic white button-down shirt will never ever go out of style.  And any color goes right now.  Whether you prefer the bright colors, pastels, or your basic neutrals the button-down is definitely an investment worth making.
