Need some Christmas storage organization ideas?
We all know taking down Christmas décor is not always so fun.
In fact, I’d say it can be pretty dreadful!
Not only is all the Christmas cheer gone for another year which in and of itself is a bit sad and depressing, but now we have to take down all the seasonal decor too.
After years of wanting to buy storage containers for my Christmas tree, ornaments, and wrapping paper, I finally took the plunge and decided to purchase a few items.
In this post, I’ll be sharing the five Christmas decor storage organization items I picked up this year.
I’ll review the items I purchased and let you know which I’d buy again and which ones I’d skip.
Christmas Storage Organization Ideas:
1. Ornament Storage Box Container
AMAZON Ornament Storage Box ($22)
We’ve all seen these ornament storage boxes everywhere every year, right?
And if you’re like me and hadn’t already bit the bullet in purchasing one then it may be something you might want to consider investing in.
Trying to keep on budget I purchased this ornament storage box from Amazon for approximately $20.
All said and done, it works well for its purpose.
The cons are that the dividers are not so sturdy but it seems to hold ornaments in a pretty orderly and secure way.
It works well if you’re not wanting to spend much and only have a few ornaments to store.
I’d definitely spend a little more for a bigger and more sturdy option because I really do like the concept of storing all my ornaments in one place vs in their original boxes.

2. Gift Wrap Organizer
AMAZON Zober Gift Wrap Paper Organizer ($25)
This I really liked and really needed!
For some reason, I tend to go crazy for wrapping paper every year.
And trying to store gift wrap paper in anything but a container made for this specific purpose is not ideal!
I love that something like this exists where I can store all my wrapping paper along with tags and gift bags.
It stores a lot, has a lot of space, and zips up nicely.
The handles all around make it easy to carry and lift easily onto shelves.
When I was done storing everything inside it was a bit heavy but kept its shape really well and stored nicely on the top shelf of my closet.
I’d buy it again!

3. Gift Flip Wraps
AMAZON Gift Wrap Flips ($12)
If you’ve been sitting on whether or not to buy these, I’m here to tell you that you need them!
They are a must-have and the perfect easy option for keeping wrapping paper in it’s place.
Better than that it doesn’t ruin your wrapping paper like using tape does.
A quick flip and all your wrapping paper rolls are secure!
The only thing I’d change about this purchase is that I would probably have stuck to buying the all-black or white options for a more aesthetic uniform look.
Other options to try:
White Red Green Flip Wraps | Amazon
4. Christmas Tree Bag
AMAZON Christmas Tree Storage Bag ($20)
This is probably not as great an idea as you may think it is.
And my mistake not reading the description thoroughly. Lesson learned!
I was looking to purchase a cloth bag, not this plastic metallic bag.
Also, when reading the reviews a few people mentioned that the 7.5 ft bag didn’t fit their 7 ft trees, therefore I sized up, and well as you can tell by my pics that the 9ft was way too big for my 7.5 ft tree.
So the whole concept is a great idea.
However, I discovered that many of these tree bags are just that bags.
Meaning they have no structure to them as many of the photos depict.
Also, note that if you have good storage to store a huge bag like this then this might be a good buy, however, if you live in an apartment without extra storage then this is probably not a good option for you.
I contemplated purchasing another one that is cloth and smaller, however, I ultimately decided to store my tree back in its original box.
All that said, this purchase is one I’d skip.

5. Storage Bins
TARGET Brightroom Clear Storage Bins ($11)
And needless to say that a few storage bins can make a huge difference.
I prefer clear boxes so that I can easily see what’s inside.
I purchased mine from Target since they were clear with tan-colored lids.
And at $9 each I couldn’t beat the price.
It stored all my tree sprigs and extra decor nicely and they stack up well in my office closet.

To Wrap Things Up:
All these are great storage organization ideas, however, as the saying goes… you get what you pay for!
Keep in mind that most of these items are pictured online as being sturdy with structure, however, if you read the reviews many are not.
So always make sure to read the descriptions and reviews well to know exactly what you will be getting and if it suits your needs.
Overall, Christmas decor storage is pretty essential and it is a good idea to invest in a few and make Christmas decorating less stressful every year.
