Fall Clothes: How to take your wardrobe from summer to fall
1. Change your wardrobe color palette

Let’s start with the color palette switch.
In summer we usually veer to lighter and brighter shades like pastels and bright pops of color.
And with fall so close it’s time to start switching gears think of incorporating more earthy and warmer tones like browns, khakis, and creams.
These warmer shades will also mix well with all those cooler darker shades of gray, navy, and black in the fall.
You can easily start to incorporate your fall clothes with existing summer basics by pulling out things like duster cardigans and coats for easy layering with those tanks, tees, and dresses.
Basic tops will style seamlessly with tan and brown layers like blazers and cardigans.
And if you are really ready to dive deep into fall you can take it a step further and start investing in thin lightweight mock neck tops in warmer colors.

That’s right, it’s time to ditch all those cute linen pieces you picked up this summer and start swapping them out for all the cozier fabric options like knitwear, wool, and corduroy.
For fall think of thinner pullover sweaters and chunkier top layers that a simple cardigan or blazer can provide.
Basics such as short-sleeved sweaters are perfect for fall because it’s a sweater, yes, but the short-sleeved side is what makes it the perfect summer-to-fall transitional piece to add to your capsule.
This is also where all your go-to denim jeans and jackets will come into play because they too will style easily into the fall season.

And of course, it’s not just about all the cute fall clothes.
Because as well all know, fall clothes = fall shoes.
It’s finally that time of year again when boots are considered acceptable footwear.
Soon it will be time to start putting away all the cute sandals you bought this year.
This will obviously depend on where you live but don’t worry because there are still ways for styling some of those sandals into fall.
A great way to transition your footwear is to consider opting for a lighter-tone boot to ease into the season, like white, ivory, and tan boots.
Or you could start incorporating suedes into your wardrobe just the same.
Suede boots are classic, timeless, and chic all in one and will be a very popular trend in footwear this year.
